5 CVENT Hacks You Need to Know
If you are already using Cvent’s Event Management tool to build event registration and websites, you already know it has seemingly endless capabilities. Better yet, you don’t need to be a web designer or know how to code to use it.
This list of tips and tricks will help you tap into this product’s potential, leaving you with a beautifully functional event website.
Use the HTML Editor
I know what you’re thinking, I just finished saying that you don’t need to know code but with this "What You See Is What You Get" Editor you’ll be able to customize text, add images, videos, hyperlinks and much more.

Image Map Editor
Yes, that image you created with all those sponsor logos on it CAN link to each sponsor’s website! All you need to do is access the Image Map Editor and define which areas you want to include a hyperlink in.
Here’s a tutorial that will walk you through finding the Image Map Editor and how to use it.
Create Hidden Pages
Sometimes your event website may have content that you don’t want everyone to be able to access, like information about an Executive Track or some reminders for your speakers. Create a page of your event website that is only accessible via weblink using these easy steps.
After slaving for hours on a slide deck or a sponsorship prospectus you deserve to be able to display your hard work for site visitors without them having to click on a weblink. This can easily be accomplished by embedding your PDF document on your webpage!
You’ll need to use a bit of iframe code but Cvent literally makes it as easy as copying and pasting with these instructions on embedding a PDF.
Update Documents without Breaking the Link
Edits and updates happen but broken links don’t need to! Next time you want to add an updated version of a document to your Cvent site don’t create a new item in the document library, simply replace the previous version with these two simple steps.
Cvent is capable of doing so much that it can be hard to remember it all! Thankfully they have a fantastic Help & Training Directory with step-by-step instructions. But it doesn’t end there! More upgrades and options were just unveiled at CventConnect, including multi-language versions. Click here to discover a complete overview of the product updates that will be available soon.
